Family enjoying their new houseThe HUD 203(k) program allows a homebuyer to purchase a home or condo in need of repair or modernization with just one mortgage loan.  The mortgage amount would be based on the projected value of the property with the work completed, taking into account the cost of the work and related fees.  Eligible improvements would include such items as painting, room additions, decks, health and safety upgrades, and energy conservation items.

Roger Olson is an approved 203(k) consultant, and is registered with HUD/FHA to prepare 203(k) proposals, work write-ups and cost estimates as required by the 203(k) loan application process. The use of a consultant is not required; however, the borrower should consider using this service in order to expedite the processing of the 203(k) loan.
